Professor Bill Smart from Oregon StateUniversity will visit Korea this month and will have a seminar atKIST. His visit is part of thefollow-on activities of the NSF workshop to Explore US/Korean Collaboration in Human-FriendlyCo-Robotic Technologies held on Sept. 25, 2017 in Vancouver, Canada, co-sponsored by U.S. National Science Foundation and the Ministry ofTrade, Industry and Energy in Korea.
Professor Smart's talk will cover varioustopics in robotics from machine learning to human robot interaction. It isnoted that 'Cassie' a walking robot from Oregon start-up Agility Roboticshttp://www.agilityrobotics.com/ wasoriginally designed by OSU's robotics group.
His seminar is open to everyonewho is interested in the topic and research collaborationwith his research group. Please feel free to pass this information to others asappropriate. And, please also let me know if any of U.S. participants of theworkshop would want to visit Korea for the same purpose.
