Instructions for Authors

All accepted regular papers (both oral and poster presentations) will be included in the Proceedings of DARS 2014, Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems - The 12th International Symposium, which will be published as a volume of the Springer Tracts in Advanced Robotics (STAR) Series. Please be advised that work-in-progress papers (poster presentation only) are not included in this STAR volume.

Importance Dates

  • May 30, 2014 ⇒ June 15, 2014: Submission of full-length regular papers
  • August 10, 2014 ⇒ August 15, 2014: Notification of regular paper acceptance
  • August 11 ~ October 10, 2014: Early registration
  • August 31, 2014: Submission of work-in-progress papers (for poster presentations only)
  • September 30, 2014: Notification of work-in-progress paper acceptance
  • October 10, 2014 (11:59 p.m. KST GMT+9): Submission of final ‘camera-ready’ papers for conference proceedings

Paper Submission

1) Regular Paper Submission (for oral and poster presentations)

Papers should be formatted according to the style files of Springer Tracts in Advanced Robotics: The standard paper length is 12 pages. In order to take into account feedback from the reviewers and questions asked during the conference, papers can be extended up to 14 pages without extra fees.

2) Work-in-Progress Papers (for poster presentations only)

For the first time in DARS’s history, the work-in-progress poster session is designed to allow its participants to present new challenges and directions, and early and emerging results from both academia and industry, providing a forum for the discussion of timely topics and promising yet half-baked ideas. A maximum of 2 page extended abstract with informative illustrations should be submitted to the symposium secretariat at dars2014@kros.org.

Digest Submission

Upon acceptance of a paper, authors will be asked to submit a digest in PDF format, following the format given in the template:

Electronic Paper Submission

All submissions must be done electronically through the Springer Online Conference Service (OCS) system. In order to submit a paper to DARS 2014, authors are kindly requested to register a user account on the following OCS website: http://senldogo0039.springer-sbm.com/ocs/requestregistration/DARS2014. All work-in-progress paper submissions should be submitted to the symposium secretariat at dars2014@kros.org.
